Default Power steering in EM1. I'VE SEARCHED LIKE CRAZY.

I've searched and i read alot of "I believe" or "I think" or "most likely" said part will fit.
please please someone clarify.
2000 civic si with Ls/vtec (97 b18b1 block, 98 usdm gsr head).
What lines, pump, do I need???
I know for a fact I need the gsr upper bracket. But can I use a D series lines and pump? Must be EM1? Del sol?
please someone who is 100% sure.

I just recently put an LSV into my 1998 hatch.

I used the stock lines and everything, with a 99-00 Si power steering pump. Everything else connected right up.

You will need the upper bracket that matches the head, so GSR for GSR head.

Thanks Very much for the feedback.
but i have heard that the line from the d series R&P is different from the si? Not sure.
the em1 lines are very hard to find, but if from a del sol or d series will fit. I would love for someone to clarify.

I don't want to go to the junkyard and waste my time and money and get all the wrong parts.

Well, your friend doesn't know **** about Honda swaps then. Literally NOTHING from a CRV works on a LS/Vtec swap !!! He would be absolutely correct IF you were using a non-Vtec complete engine... like a B18B or B20B/Z... and in that case, all you would need is the CRV P/S bracket because your SOHC P/S pump and high pressure line would work just fine.

What happened to your original Civic Si parts ??? Do you still have the high pressure line in the car or is everything missing ?

I cannot tell you the exact parts that you should source and from what year/model vehicles that they come from because I have buckets of these parts (which don't happen to be marked) and I just match up what works when I need it.

Assuming you have the original line, here is what you do:

Compare your current high pressure P/S hose (the top one that bolts to the P/S pump) to the pics that are posted above. Then go to your junkyard and find an Integra (most common) P/S pump with the matching receptacle as your current line. There is NO REASON to change your P/S line). Once you have the pump, the brackets are relatively easy. The LOWER brackets are all the same... whether it comes from a non-VTEC Integra, VTEC Integra, DOHC Del Sol or '99-00 Civic Si (DOHC). When I say the same, I am referring to how it will fit... there will be slight visual differences depending on the car it came from, but these are unimportant. The upper P/S bracket will be a little more difficult because there is some variance in the length of the tab where the adjustment bolt passes through the bracket and threads into the P/S pump. They are only found on vehicles that came with a DOHC VTEC engine (Del Sol VTEC, '99-00 Civic Si or Integra GSR or ITR). It is EASY if you find the P/S pump that matches your line if you discover it on a VTEC Integra... then you simply take everything off the Integra in one shot. If not, you will have to measure the distance from the face of the P/S mounting pad to the center of the hole on the adjustment tab and match this up with the same distance on the pump.

Good Luck.

If you don't even have the high pressure line, you should pull one from a '96-00 Civic EX (I think LX and DX would work fine too), because I don't think the Integra line bolts up to the rack the same.

Ok so a quick rundown.
D series P/S lines fit? (Both?)

What i need for sure is Integra pump and lower bracket (since these are more common in the JY)
and gsr upper bracket?

You had me until you said "D" series P/S lines... I have never done what you are doing specifically, as in replacing EVERYTHING needed for P/S in an EM1 with whatever I can find, so I cannot say for sure that all of the Civic EX **** fits. However, since a "B" swap into say a '99 Civic EX Coupe only requires swapping out the items that I have outlined previously (listed above), this suggests that all of the other lines, hoses, reservoir, and cooler loop SHOULD be interchangeable.
