which power steering pump/ bracket for lsvtec into a DC2.....
hey guys, i had my lsvtec converted a few weeks back and have been running without power steering since the upper ls PS bracket does not connect to the b16 head. I ordered a upper power steering bracket for a vtec head, and the bracket will not work properly with the power steering assembly. what power steering pump/brackets are required in a 94-01 integra?

bump. The vtec one bolts to the head, but I can't seem to get it to fit the pump.

I'm trying to get to the bottom of the mystery here guys. The wierd thing is, the GsR, THe ITR, and the Ls all have different upper power steering brackets (56997-P73-000; Type R, 56997-P72-000; GsR, 56997-P54-010; LS) but the GsR and Ls have the same lower bracket (56994-P54-000) while the Type R has one specific to its car (56994-P73-000). Dunno if that helps any, but it leads me to believe you need the upper and lower ITR specific PS brackets.

The debaucle goes even deeper. A 92 GsR has a different upper (56994-PR3-000) than a 92 Ls (56997-PR4-Q00) but the same lower (56997-PR3-010). They share the same pump however (56110-PR3-040), as do the 00 GsR, LS and ITR (56110-P72-003).
What the hell is going on here?

im doing lsvtec to my dc2, i am using a b16 head, for the power steering bracket i used a gs-r bracket. im sure that you could also use a b16 ps bracket, it is a b16 head right? im know the gsr will work cuz thats what im using, the b16 ps bracket, im not 100%.

what year teg do you have? we know the bottom is all the same. I am thinking if you get the bracket to match the year and ps pump you have that would do the trick

After doing some research, I think this is right. There are (I believe) 2 pump styles -- the older V-belt style, as found on the G2 Integras, and the newer ribbed-belt style. Since I am running the older style pump, I need an upper bracket for that pump that fits the B16 head -- 92-93 GSR fits the bill.

if you have a 94 then I would suggest you get a 94-95 gsr ps upper bracket and reuse the ls lower.
