Hi there. I have a 99 civic LX. Did my brakes a couple of months ago and my hand brake was actually getting higher. When I checked the left drum brake self-adjusting piece was all the way in. On this side the teeth on the self-adjusting part should move upward to spread the shoes but it is moving downwards making the shoes retrack.
The right side is working properly. I attached pictures for reference. Hope to get some answers. Thanks.
