Default 98 civic drum brake creak, not squeal...

There is a rhythmic creak that is speed related only when the brakes are applied. Right rear drum. I can make it happen with the parking brake too, as long as the car is moving. No noise at all when the brakes are not engaged. Replaced the drum, thinking it was out of round or warped, but it didn't do anything. That doesn't make sense to me and I am now asking you fine peoples what else could make a cyclic noise like that from a drum? I also sprayed brake cleaner to get all the gunk out of there and then lubricated the contact points where the shoes meet the back. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Actually I sold it, but about a month or two before that, I took the drum off the creaking side, took some sand paper and shoved it between the brake shoe and the back side at the contact points. There are two points that it makes contact with, one on top and one on bottom. I pulled the shoe away from those points a bit by prying it away with a screw driver, then shoved the sand paper in between, released the prying pressure, only a bit, to allow the sand paper to be squished between the shoe and the back side then sanded the crap out. There was rust at those points and I'm thinking that the last guy probably never cleaned everything out enough, or at all. After the sanding, I blew all the crap out with brake cleaner, let it dry then pryed the shoe out again and put a small coat of axel grease back there. Never creaked again. Hope that helps.
