This is a D15Z6 EUDM VTEC-E Head, the equivalent of the D16Y5.
And an intake side rocker arm shaft
I already understand how the VTEC-E works but what im wondering is whats the actual oil flow from the VTEC solenoid to the pin being pushed out from the VTEC rocker arm.
From what ive understand so far (i might be wrong)
From the Cylinder head picture:
1- Galleries from vtec solenoid ? which way oil flow ? why multiples holes ?
2 - Oil return lines ?
3 - Gallery from vtec solenoid ?
4 - Oil return to oil sump ?
5 - Oil directly come from oil filter gallery here and is pressurized. Apparently there is a teardrop shaped gallery that circulate the oil through the camshaft cap bolt hole to the 5. hole
6 - Holes from the assembly line ? Machine used to hold the cylinder head from these holes ?
7 - Grooved camshaft surface for oil lubrication ?
From the Intake rocker arm shaft picture :
1 - When installing the camshaft cap, the shaft sit around the bolt preventing the shaft from moving ?
2 - ?? lubricating "master" rocker arm/ "slave" rocker arm. which one is which ? smaller hole to provide pressure to the master rocker arm to push the pin out ?
3 - ?? lubricating "master" rocker arm/ "slave" rocker arm
Are there holes in the rocker arm to circulate the oil to the pin ?
Altough i might be able to know what are all the holes thanks to you guys, what is the actual oil flow, and how the oil is circulating and provided inside the intake shaft ?
Feel free to take the pictures and make a bunch of arrow. thanks
