A bud of mine picked up a 1999 EM1
civic with a new b20 engine, nonvtec, b16 trans and it’s got a nice compound turbo setup. We took it out one time before the ecu failed.
From what I’ve read, it’s been converted to obd1 and using a p06 ecu and wire harness adapter etc. It has been chipped for the setup and ran great.
We need a new ecu and rather than risking moving the chip over, I’d rather get set up with hondata. Must we get another p06 ecu? Or will other ECMs use the p06 harness adapter? I’m big into Saab tuning and down to get into the Honda realm, hopefully teach bro what I learn. I’ll be reading up after posting this.
The socket for the chip is a "female" receptacle... the Hondata S300 system daughter board is female, so your P06 chip socket must be removed and replaced with male pins... otherwise, YES... you can use it.
