Default B20V missing in vtec

Hey guys I’m stumped. I have a b20 vtec with Brian crower stage 2 cams and the car runs fine at lower rpm’s (1000-4500) but once I get on it after about 4500 it starts to cut out really bad and starts missfiring. Got new spark plugs new cap rotor. Upgraded oil pump, new o ring under the cam cap, cleaned the vtec screen, upgraded injectors and 255 walboro fuel pump it’s also on hondata sc300 the tune shop corrected all the timing and said oil pump and silinoid were fine and no issues so This is my last ditch effort to try and get some help on what could possibly be going on.

Was the engine fully tuned ?
If you have good oil pressure and the solenoid is functioning, consider the possibility that your mechanical timing is out a tooth... so check to make sure all timing marks are in proper alignment.

From what the tuning shop said the oil pressure is all over the place, the cam gears in line

Check the oil system for solid pressure. Check the vtec system for adequate pressure. Fix leaks. Did you lose or forget to install a vtec locking pin perhaps?

Here is how to test, and may as well verify your valve lash is right.

A tight valve lash can cause misfires in VTEC, check the lash and maybe err on the looser side on the exhaust valves to be safe.

The photo is arbitrary at best.

Here check it correctly, line up the marks like the guide says.

This needs to be fixed before anything else.

Looks pretty normal to me. I don't see any scoring. Just normal wear for a 20yo+ motor. You see scoring?

An emery cloth should clean that up. Any machine shop would call that a micropolish. Wouldn't cost much for a pro to clean them well.

If you are looking at the edges you can ignore the roughness. Your rockers should have pads that never contact those areas of the cam.
