Hello everyone! I hope to have a great experience here. I have a stock F22A6 with a P12 ecm and locked auto transmission. Shaved head with 200 plus psi compression. 4/2/1 header to straight 3” exiting just behind the drivers seat. Fuel cell and Holley fuel pump with stock pressure regulator with stock injectors ( I think lol). I have no dash, just a tach and temp gage. My car was running rough and I found that the TPS had the original screws replaced for possible adjustment by previous owner and one had broke, causing the TPS to shift. I decided to replace the whole throttle body. My question is there an advantage to adjusting the TPS out of range a specific way for WOT? I was already going to adjust the ignition timing next week on a dyno, but thought about the TPS as well. And yes, I typically run mostly WOT and occasionally let off only if I have to lol.
that is a great write up. I knew how to do the calibration but wasn’t sure if adjusting it out of range would help with WOT. But I’ll make sure the TBS is calibrated perfectly at least!
Yeah that is your best bet. I have never really found there to be any real bonus to advancing or retarding the TPS on a cable driven throttle and stock ECU. No harm in trying it out yourself though.
Now drive by wire throttles on the other hand, there are some things you can play with.
