Turn signals and high beams turning off rpm and speed at cluster
Sorry if this has been covered or is a stupid thread, haven’t gotten a solution so here I am.
Since I bought my 00 gsr, I have had an issue where my speed and rpm at my cluster would pulsate with my turn signals when they were on, high beams would turn them off completely. Had the same result after replacing the cluster. Started to take a look at the wiring (with the knowledge of a 21 y/o that could just barely wire in a gauge) and found a bunch of wires spliced into behind the cluster, ecu and in the engine bay. Found similar splices on other integra harnesses so am asking if anyone can help me figure out which ones are oem and which ones are causing my issue. Ill attach some portions of the harness that are in question, any input is appreciated, thanks.
Re: Turn signals and high beams turning off rpm and speed at cluster
That's gonna be hard for anyone on the net to solve for you.
Sometimes i just LOL at the **** some of these back yard mechs do to these Hondas when it comes to wiring! that's how fires start!
You can always try and find a new engine and cabin harness from another 2000 GSR but that's gonna super hard to find..
The 00 GSR became OBD2B where the ECU gives the RPM signal unlike the OBD2A GSR which the distributor gives the RPM signal if I'm not mistaken and the ECU also will have a immobilizer . Maybe some one tried converting it to OBD2A to use a OBD2A ECU. The immobilizer in the ECU has to be programed to the ignition key somehow so people run into issues with the OBD2B cars not starting when the ECU or key is missing.
