Hello everyone,

I have a 2018 Honda Fit EX and I'm having a problem with my alarm randomly going off. I have gotten to the point where I have pulled the horn fuse as to not become "that guy" waking everyone up in my neighborhood. When the alarm issue happens I will come back out to my car and it has unlocked itself. I will also experience a rapid clicking sound from the dashboard combined with the dash lights flickering with the car off or in acc/on position. It does not happen while the engine is running though. The problem seems intermittent but definitely associated with humid or wet weather.

Will also sometimes get a "keyless start system problem" message on the dash.



Here's what I've tried so far without success:

1. Took it to a dealer. They said to have the aftermarket alarm (Karr brand) removed and that was likely the issue. I did not want this aftermarket thing installed, it was installed by the original dealer and when they couldn't upsell me they just "deactivated" it. I complained to that dealer and Karr themselves and they paid to have it removed at a shop near me. Alarm/stereo guy seemed very knowledgeable and said he didn't expect it to solve the issue anyway. He also said he found a stored airbag code but the car has never been in an accident.
2. I cleaned the hood latch and hood latch sensor area
3. I changed the car battery and FOB battery
4. Checked operation of the 4 door switches
5. Took to my mechanic but the problem did not present itself while there. They did however find a rubber gasket in a firewall electrical penetration that was not in place. They put it back in and road/injector noise greatly reduced from inside the car. Perhaps moisture got in too??

Any help is greatly appreciated. Most online help points towards the hood latch but I don't see how that would cause the clicking sound/flickering on the dashboard (see video link)Dashboard flicker/click
