K24 '95eg swap overheating
Yes, I parked the car on an incline drive way and still jacked the front of the car another 2 feet in the air. So the front wheels we're around 3 feet above the rear wheels. Bled it for about 20+ minutes revving it pretty good every so often. Heater core was open and near the end there, it stopped bubbling. Just micro bubbles at that point. Also, It's been on the dyno revving to all hell and not overheating at all. Difference is, my tuner has a blower right in front of the car blowing tons of air into the bay with the hood up. Only driving for about 15 minutes in moderate traffic does the CEL come on for engine overheating. I've got a hybrid racing half rad with a good fan. My guess is either, rad is too small, or the engine bay temps are just getting too hot. I know the front end of the EGs dont allow too much air flow nearly at all and I've got a ktuned ram header in there that makes an *** TON of heat. Before I start putting vents into my hood, anyone else experience a hot k24 swap with a bled system and a "proper" half rad setup?
try making ducting to the rad, if the area next to the rad is wide open, then thats where the air is going to flow... redirect it w/thin sheetmetal or something to the rad.
