Long story short..car ran great. Was driving it and it suddenly stopped running and died, wouldn't restart. Got it towed home. Cleaned the plugs and could get it started but ran horrible and wouldn't stay at idle. Sometimes could get it to 4k rpm and hold it but if I floored it or let it idle it would die immediately. Changed plugs, wires, dizzy...car ran the same. Now checking timing belt. Here are the marks. 1st pic is if the bottom crank is aligned, sec pic is if the tdc mark is aligned.

pull the plugs and remove the cam cover at the valve cover. use a long extension bar and bring #1 to TDC check that the cam gear is lined up as it should (two arrows on the gear will point to 9 and 3 even with the lip of the cylinder head, then look at the harmonic balancer. the timing mark on the balancer should line with the mark on the belt cover. If they dont line up you jumped a tooth. Go buy a lottery ticket while your at it, generally timing belts break before they jump time
