2000 Civic EX White Smoke From Exhaust wont go away for at least 20 mins of driving.
Hey all, its been pretty cold out here in VA getting around 20-30 weather lately and i've been seeing white smoke from the exhaust. It will eventually go away but its slightly thick and will increase smoke output when accelerator pedal is pushed. Is this a result of the Cold weather or am i looking at doing some work on this thing.
I've had the car for 3 years now. I've done a Head gasket 2 years ago using a fel pro head gasket and old head bolts. just replaced water pump, heater hose and radiator due to leak after verifying with pressure tester. Car has not overheated after taking care of those components. I've checked compression and im at 180-185 on all cylinders. I think i may be burning it at a small amount now as ive tried to bleed the system and all is good but after a couple of days i hear water gurgling in the firewall area as if there is air in the system. I will pressure test again to make sure there isnt any other hose leaks as the car does have 237k on it. but i will also do a combustion leak test.
just wanted to know if the amount of white smoke coming out for the amount of time is normal around this cold weather.

Probably just a cold engine. 20-30 degrees is chilly!
Is it burning oil (How often are you having to check and top off the oil level)?

As the weather got warmer it appears that the white smoke/steam was a result of the temps outside. Im pretty sure this thing burns oil but not sure yet as i have a valve cover and oil pan leak to fix and maybe figure out why i hear a water sloshing noise near the firewall. maybe i still have air in the hoses. Thanks for the replies
