have been fighting this for months stumbled on what it was. i can’t get past about 2700 rpm’s with out it cutting out when i let out it drives fine. it only does this sometimes and when it happens once it won’t stop. when i fill it up it’s fine but it could do it when it goes down a little here’s what ive replaced:
spark plugs
plug wires
battery
distributer cap
distributer rotor
alternator
speakers
PGM-FI Relay (Programmed fuel injection relay or “main” relay)
bypass hose
oil changed with filter
o2 sensor
valve cover gasket and plug seals
distributer itself
valve cover pcv valve and new hose
cleaned egr valve
new tank and pump installed by previous owner (had a trusted mechanic drop the tank and he said all is good that’s under there.)
