Need help w. gf's Accord
She has a smote up '93 Accord wagon that won't pass inspection (high Nox in emissions). Being the shadetree mechanic I am, I took a looksee. I found the following things: Oil in all spark plug shafts and fouled plugs. My guess is her valve cover gasket is shot. Sound right? I went ahead and replaced the plugs anyways. There's also seepage on the engine block around the valve cover. Does burning oil sound like a likely reason for the high Nox?
Can anyone recommend a reasonably-priced mechanic in Dallas? Or is this something I could do in a couple of hours with a good set of tools?
thanks!

sounds like the valve cover (including the 4 little O rings) and plugs to me too. but id go ahead and do a good full tune-up on it (plugs, wires, dist. cap, rotor) this would be like an extra 50 bucks, but your girl and her car will appreciate it. by the way, get a decent set of plug wires, the cheapest ones at the parts store will make it run worse.
