Hi guys just joined the forum. I picked up a 93 del sol a week ago for $500 from my coworker who was going to junk it. The car runs and drives great when it works. When I bought it I knew it wouldn't start sometimes and have run it down to a fuel problem because it would crank and start on starting fluid. You can't hear the fuel pump turn on so I replaced the main relay and the fuel pump. After that repair it started after a few cranks. I believe the problem has to do when it rains. The car doesn't have any leaks inside or the trunk but after it rained I noticed the wiring harness under the fuse box under the hood was wet and covered in dirt. When the problem happens the check engine light stays on. The next day after it rains the car starts up fine. I'm leaning towards it being the ecu but figured I'd ask in here before I buy a rebuilt one. If anyone has any feedback on what it could be I'd appreciate it.
