I have a '92 civic that I am trying to bring back to life. Its a B18c swap.

I made a boneheaded mistake and put the battery in backwards (its not as dumb as it sounds, battery was relocated to back, and both terminal wires were black from last owner).

It blew out the 80 amp battery fuse (which I've replaced).

The car now has lights, power to gauges, etc, but I dont hear the fuel pump priming, and I get zero reaction from trying a start. it is not cranking, nor even trying to crank.

I am actually trying harder to get the fuel pump to work, since I am trying to get some old and bad gasoline out of the fuel lines from the tank (already drained it, and put 5 gals of fresh 93 in there).

Any recommendations? Fuse 24 is intact, if that makes any difference.

by the way, I remember I vacuumed up a whole bunch of moldy old blue plastic pieces from my floorboard, so I am guessing that is the clutch safety switch.

I guess I'll try to track one of those down. seems consistent with the symptoms.

 

I jumpered the clutch safety switch and I got the starter solenoid to make clack loudly, but no cranking. starter could be bad.

I still can't get any fuel pump love though...

 

Have you tried a main relay out of another Honda? Can get them online for cheap if you can't borrow one
