Just did swap and the car doesn't crank over...
1997 Honda Civic HX Manual
I try'd conpression startin the car started but it was very very weak could barely hear it, changed the battery.
I'm think that i'm not gettin power to my fuel pump but im not sure if that is the problem, or starter, or alternator...
this was my first swap that i did by myself but i've watched/help on alot of swaps...
i hope someone could help me out on gettin some info why my doesn't start...
thanks
jeff

make sure all your grounds are grounded properly.
Does the fuel pump prime when you turn the key to the "on" position?

is it the stock fuel pump?
has the car been sitting?
Tried changing the fuel filter?
Get the fuel pump working and the problem will more then likely be solved.

but would that cause the problem for a car not to crank/fire up?
my last car had a problem with the start so im think that might be a problem also...

yes, in order for a car to crank it needs 3 essential things.
Air, Fuel, and Spark.
Spark plugs and wires should be replaced with any swap especially if the car has been sitting.
So if the fuel pump isnt working, there will be no starting the car.

lol
the tdc and motor **** doesnt matter
u dont understand
NOTHING is happening
so
case in point
when you turn that key your car doesnt think anything is happening.
check all your fuses.
make sure ecu is plugged in.
when you turn your key. do your ac and like radio come on or no?

wow
your really are clueless arent u?
but apparently if its blowing then it has power.
umm..
check the grounds and check your starter.
make sure your starter has everything hooked up.
if in doubt. take it to autozone and have them test it.
because if its getting no power then it wont crank.
and it could just be a lose wire or sumthn simple
or.
CHECK ALL YOUR DAMN FUSES
im telling u
we had a no start com in the other day.
he said it was all messed up with the tumbler and ignition switch.
i walked to the fuse box.
said hey there ur problem
ignition control fuse was blown. it would crank but no spark.
so. check your like starter signal fuses.
and make sure everything is nice and snug on wires.

Re: (venessEK)
All the fuses were fine nothin blown and the starter was good also...noticed that one of my grounds were bad so after I fixed that it started right now which was cool...
Then I accured another problem after it starts for about 45 seconds then it gradually dies...now I can figure out what the problem is now...
Help would be greatful...
Thanks
Jeff

Re: Just did swap and the car doesn't crank over... (Jkim81)
well similar prob like that happens all the time there was a similar thread about this not a week ago...try to find it. if the starter is bad u can tap it lightly with a hammer but not to hard if that doesnt work it should be a ground more likely the tranny ground.....id replace all the grounds with brand new ones doesnt cost much money to do that.....also sounds like it could be a loose connection on the ground to the connector....and do a normal tune up to..like everything wouldnt hurt
