wow.
All of our cars do this. Don't rev your car that high until it is up to normal temperatures.

Yeer, I thought this info applies to all cars, including the R. Its good to get the car up to operating temperature before you start beating the hell out of it. Your VTEC doesnt kick in because VTEC is dependant on a few factors, one of them being oil temp/pressure...blah, blah, blah.
Stop abusing your car and the cars of others and for the love of everything holy, LET YOUR CARS "WARM" UP A BIT BEFORE DRIVING THEM......at least 1 minute.

There is nothing wrong with your car. There is something wrong with you. Why would you Vtec the car when it is cold? Do you really want your motor not to last as long. Dude you are begging for $hit to go wrong.Even the dealer that sold me the car knew not to vtec when cold, and they don't know jack $hit. Sorry for us all coming down on you, but damn, don't ruin a nice car. All these stunnaz and their lead feet.
check under your hood for the 710 cap. It may not be properly tightened. this would cause vtech to not work.
