Hey guys so on my 88 sedan I’m put the factory dash/chassis harness back in and I noticed a couple loose wires. Through my research I’ve found 2 answers for this one wire. Fat blue/white coming off the ignition. Some diagrams say it’s for the blower motor and doesn’t matter. Others say it’s part of the starter circuit.
its cut down by the ecu plugs. The harness is a DPFI to MPFI, it has been hacked and put back together multiple times so I’m doing what I can. I’ve fixed everything except this one wire and and a couple wires in the driver side head light grounding block
and then just curious any 1 know what this is? It’s on the headlight portion of the harness it’s capped. I was thinking maybe the jdm side marker things but idk. Was wondering if y’all did.
thanx again y’all. You guys always help and I appreciate it so much.
Blue/White is IG2-B on the original diagrams, runs directly to the 30A heater blower motor fuse. This circuit also powers the A/C switch and relays. If you have no need for any of those, then no, you don't need the wire.
There is another Blue/White (likely the other wire to which you found reference), which should be from the 10A fuse in the under-hood box, which does feed from the starter and relates mostly to lighting. This is not directly connected to the ignition switch.
No idea on the capped plugs, I can't tell for sure if they look like anything I've ever seen.
