I have a 94 del sol that will crank but not start. I had new axles put in as well as a new coolant temp sensor.the car ran great and felt fine. Later that day I got a ticket and I didn’t drive it so they couldn’t run my tags. After about seven days I went outside to start it up and it would only crank. I went on to check spark plugs, they looked terrible so I replaced them. Wasn’t it. I rebuilt the distributor as well and still could not get it to start. I made sure I had gas by checking the fuel filter. So I know that it couldn’t be lacking fuel. It’s definitely getting air. And I checked the injectors with a test light and they worked. I ran out of things to test so I located my ecu and opened it up. It was actually pretty messed up and corroded. So I ordered a new one thinking that would solve my problem and it still didn’t start :/
Any help on this is appreciated!!

. What led me to checking my ecu was a blown ecu fuse and backup fuse lol sorry I forgot to mention that. But yeah I replaced those and checked all fuses and grounds and still no start

 

Just because the car is getting air doesn't mean it's compressing it.

Compression test, fuel PRESSURE test. Injector spray pattern test. Quality of spark test. These are the base test in a no start condition. Usually one of them is a fail which then leads to others tests to do.
