So i recently got my first car, a 01 Honda civic lx, but the engine was done, so i decided to do a swap. The thing is i’m 15 and fairly new to this stuff. So i bought an ex engine after doing research and now I'm swapping my A1 for a A2 i understand the what to do for the most part, but then it gets technical.

engine is good, but supposedly i need a new ecu and wiring harness from an ex because an lx wont work. So my question is.

is there anything i need to know about the ecu, wiring harness or vtec?

like does it matter if the wiring harness or ecu came out of a automatic and mine is a manual?

or does it matter if i run vtec at first or not?

and lastly, is there anything besides the stuff i labeled that i will need for the car?
