Just wondering if the Z6 Skunk2 Pro manifold will fit the Y8 without any major modifications? Searched and couldn't find an answer.

 

It should, the D series manifolds all use the same bolt pattern as well as flange sizes. Even the gaskets seem to be about the same for manifolds.

Click on the "Fitment and Specs" tab on the link above. It shows that it fits all Civics from 1988-2000 with a 1.6L SOHC engine.

 

No wonder they're so notorious for having fitment issues 🤦‍♂️

 

Interestingly enough they say 1988-2000 (1.6L CX/DX/EX/GX/HX/LX) which not all of those are 1.6L lol. I see they skipped the VX probably because of the EGR built into the manifold.

 

Yes, and there may be some issue with installing the I/M on a '99-00 D16Y8 because of the idle up air circuit built into the head casting and sealed off with the OE intake manifold. I can't remember if there was a modification discussed in the installation instructions...

 

Skunk2 sent me the instructions and goes through it all. Still weird to me.

 

I'm running a Z6 Edelbrock Performer X manifold on my Y8. Fits just fine.

 

Did you tune it or run as is?
