Bad alternator?
Alright so I've been having crank/no start problems with my sol recently and learned that it works when it gets jumped and so I came to the conclusion that it was a battery problem. So I replaced the battery and it ran good but if I stopped the car for a long period of time and let it sit(around 10-30 min) it would have trouble starting and eventually would just not start at all once I left it off for longer than 30 min; instead only cranks. Does this confirm that it is in fact an alternator problem and can't keep its charge? My lights do turn on though.
P.S. Jumping it and changing the battery acted the same way.

If you fully charge the battery or get a jump start, the car should run and operate normally. If the alternator was a problem, it would not charge up the battery and the vehicle would begin to show signs of voltage-related issues and ultimately will stall and cannot be restarted.
So if the car behaves the same when the battery is fully charged... the problem is not the alternator.
