Are Honda valve stem seals prone to leak? And another question.
For a B16 engine.
I heard that Honda stem seals had an issue with leaking, but don't know if it's accurate. Are there better choices for stem seals than Honda? I've got Fel-pro immediately available, but could order something else online. The Honda brand is available online for cheaper.
BTW, the local Honda parts desk says that the intake and exhaust valve use different seals, 12210-PZ1-003 and 12211-PZ1-004. But online, it seems that everybody sells sets of 16 12210-PZ1-003 to be used for both the intake and exhaust valves, or sets of 16 12211-PZ1-004 to be used for both the intake and exhaust valves. And one eBay listing says "Please Note: According to the official NOK(Corteco) catalog both intake and exhaust use the exact same size valve stem seals". What's the actual situation with them?

There are intake and exhaust seals. No idea what makes them different but the springs on the seals are black on the exhaust and white for the intake.
And not so much that Honda has a problem with seals. It is the valve train puts a side load on the valves causing them to wear out the valve guides. It is the worn out valve guides that lead to leaky seals and oil consumption. It is an expensive fix so nearly no one does it. Just slap new seals on and then bitch that it burns oil again in 500 miles.

After Market seals may or may not use different seals for exhaust and intake. OEM separates them, Supertech also does if I recall but Felpro is one type for both sides. It depends on the manufacturer I believe and the motor. I don't think the B16 has different sized valve stems like some of the motors do.
