I just got my car back after years...I have a jdm eg6, and while I was away my buddy did a 99 gsr swap in my car. I drove the car and it would lose power at mid range bad, so I changed cap and rotor,, and wires, and plugs, then cleaned the injectors, and the injector screens were plugged pretty bad, so I changed the fuel filter too. It ran good intermittently and then shuts off. I was told it could have been the ELD so I got my hands on a chip that had it erased off. I drove the car yesterday and It idled fine and when it was warm I took it out on the highway and got on it, it lost all power before any power could hit so I pulled over and it was at low idle, maybe like 500, then died. I dont know what else to try...my other buddies are thinking fuel pressure, but I think it could be a bad harness... any ideas? please help!!!!

 

do you have access to a fuel pressure gauge?

 

Fuel tank had rust in it…..found the problem. Fixing now. Thank you
