Just wanted a few opinions before I order some parts.Recently got my parts in to replace my engine mount and bracket. Old one was broken after hitting a deer. Taking the nuts off the stud went fine, but I ran into a issue putting them back on. I was ratcheting the missing stud's nut back on after replacing the bracket, when it started to spin free. Stud came right out, aluminum shavings and stripped threads.
My question is can I drive the car the way it is for a little while? I took it around the block and it runs perfectly. But I leave for school in another week and live a few hours from home. I plan to buy a heli-coil kit and a new stud, but I don't have any tools up at college. So I would need to drive the car for a little over 2-3 weeks while I wait for things to be shipped.
I don't work on my car or have much experience, so any thoughts/insights are appreciated.
