what would cause power locks and windows to stop working?
97 civic, checked all fuses and all are good. If i disconnect my battery wait a few moments, reconnect the battery my windows will move slightly (using the button) but then I lose function. I had an after market push to start in that took a dump on me a few days ago. I replaced it with the original ignition. Ever since then I've been having this issue. I'm going to change the power window relay today, but not sure if that will be the issue since the locks are not working as well.
EDIT: Changed Power Window Relay, no luck. Noticed my power mirrors do not work either. Sunroof still does work as well as everything else (that I can tell).
Thanks for any help!

checked all fuses. All are good. Just pulled the drivers side fender off and checked the wiring there. All looks good. I'll do a more intensive inspection under the dash sometime this week. Just odd that it seems to be just those three things. I'm not sure what wiring they have incommon , if at all.
IIRC, the entire power... options system? is controlled by the driver's door switch panel. Since everything else looks good, I'd assume that's the culprit. I could walk you through testing everything, but that's an awful lot of headache. Best bet is to pull a switch from a junkyard or buy a new one from a parts store. Otherwise, break out a service manual and a multimeter.

Yes, the entire assembly there - it sounds like you may have moisture getting into it, or a faulty ground. It's just called the power window switch, it looks like Autozone may have them, RockAuto does, etc etc.
