93 civic automatic no crank no start
My battery is fine starter should be okay it has 67k original miles on the car and motor it’s a non vtech the ignition lock cylinder is removed so not sure if that could be it or not I’m attempting to start it with a screw driver on the opposite side of the ignition having removed the two screws holding it in place to see if I can get it running before replacing the lock cylinder or I may bypass it all entirely with a push button start not sure yet I’ve tried jumping the starter with the car in neutral and key turned to the on position it just spins really fast by the sound of it but nothing else happens so would that mean it’s a bad starter or what else could it be please help I’d love to get this car running again with the original Motor the story I have was that the car hit a speed bump and quit running but underneath the car looks fine no visible damage that I can see it has been lowered so it’s about 4 inches from the ground also when doing a rundown of the basics When I checked the spark plugs there was about An inch of oil in each spark plug a friend told me it’s a common issue with older Honda’s and a quick fix just to try and get it running at least is to pull all the plugs and drain the oil back down and put them back in so I pulled them and let it sit for a day or so before replacing them with new spark plugs I don’t know exactly what to check or replace to get it running so I need help please and thanks everyone also ive done a fresh oil change with ring sealer and Lucas oil stabilizer and added a royal purple full fuel system treatment replaced a cracked vacuum line and replaced a broken ground wire running from the valve cover to the frame and replaced the battery terminals with new ones and new lugs to connect the wires to the new terminals id appreciate any and all help and advice towards getting this gem running again I’d hate to see a 93 Honda Civic with just 67 thousand miles and so much life left to live sit and rot away it’d be amazing to get it running so I can begin doing the manual conversion and drop a 5 speed in this beautiful car
