My EG D15B VTEC has been misfiring on all gears throughout 1k-3k revs after which it goes back to normal. I noticed this happening when I changed the OEM dizzy to an ebay one. I did take the car to a mechanic due to some other issues (changed faulty ECU) and he did tell me that it could likely be that the ECU is still learning as he did not see any other issues that could be causing this.

My plan is to change the dizzy again and see if the issue is solved, if not what could be the cause?

 

Non OEM dizzy is typically the culprit. Especially being specific rpm range and not an always any rpm thing.

 

Here's hoping that's the case. Will give an update this weekend.
