Default Strange squealing sound

New to me car has 99 r type b18c amd finally got it on the road test yesterday. Runs amazing fast and smooth in the little civic hatchback, but there’s a funny sound like a squeal at a certain point in the revs, fluctuating with throttle on acceleration, goes away when it picks up more rpm, does it pretty much every time you hit the gas though. Almost sounds like a belt or maybe pully or something but doesn’t seem to come from that side of the motor.. I have new timing belt amd water pump kit to install yet, any ideas what could be the cause of this ? TIA

It might be the intake whistle they often do at part throttle and lowish rpm?

That’s what my son said it could be, and it is lower rpm part throttle. I’ve just never heard of such a thing
