Default Swapped 1998 Honda Civic dx

Hey whats up everyone, i just have a question kind of a long one actually. So this car, it was converted manual, the original automatic wire harness was kept for the swap it has a d16y8, the computer is the y7 motor, and i replaced the fuel pump after noticing that I’ll press the gas and not full throttle, just a tap and I’ll get no response whenever driving, and when the idle drops lower to like 2k it kicks like as if there is a lag or a cut, because ill get like a 2step rev feel whenever the idle gets to like 1500k when i tap it with the same pressure as i do when on the highway or following the speed limit. I was having the similar issue with a 99 ex and it was the computer, but i am asking here, because i noticed the ecu on this 98 has a wire connected as a ground? I was thinking it could be the ecu?? But i could be wrong so I wanted to check before i spend any money on it.
Can anyone share any helpful information.? I’m not a mechanic or anything i just like to do my homework and do things myself. Thanks guys, i appreciate you taking your time to look through this.
