I have a 1996 Honda Civic HX (Manual) which has a P1164 code, but P1301 &P1302 was also coming up. The plugs, wires, Distributor cap, ERG Valve were just replaced last year. I bought a new upstream O2 sensor, but the code keeps coming back on. In the morning when I drive to work, the car will start to stumble & hesitate as soon as I get up to speed on the beltway, then after about 10 seconds it is fine. Last week the car started stalling on me everytime I made a stop. I started to think that maybe the O2 sensor was not getting current: so I used a test light on the O2 sensor connector going to the fuse box: and when I connect the test light to the negative battery terminal I get no light, but when I connect it to the positive battery terminal I do. I wanted to try and test the cable connected to the O2 sensor by back-probing with a pin, but there does not seem to be enough space between the wires to get any size pin in it. Anybody else have a similar experience? Thanks
