How do I make my car faster?
I have a 1998 Honda Accord LX Sedan with a 2.3L Vtech, and I just want to know how to make it faster without breaking the bank. Any questions are welcome and I知 sorry if they池e needed, I知 new to this.
I kinda have to agree with Aradin on this one. An Accord is a heavy platform to get anywhere with unless you're gonna spend a decent amount of cash. You could do all the normal stuff such as intake and exhaust but it won't really be "faster" Better throttle response and it would sound better if done right. If you are seriously in love with the car you could K swap and turbo it and make it plenty fast. Not at all a cheap option though.
First step would be to replace the VTECH phone with a VTEC engine!
And I agree that with that budget you would be better to put the short term $1000 into maintenance and put the long term $8000 toward a fast car. Trust me, I know all about wasting money on trying to make slow cars fast. Much wasier to spend it on a fast car and make it faster over time.

Yeah, I've posted a few times in response. There's no "savings" of "torque" or rotations. If the questions started out about making it faster, a taller tire, heavier and bigger rim, and anything else in that category is the opposite if making it faster. If someone wants a taller tire to get a lower revolution of the engine, that would make sense, but it wouldn't make a car faster, and there's no need for a different rim to gain the height, a taller tire is all that is needed. But to what benefit? It's unlikely to get better gas mileage if one goes too far since the engine would be out of it's sweet spot in power range. There's no "saving miles" such thing. A larger rim will not, in and of itself, save you anything. A lighter rim could save you unsprung weight, but that's the only possible savings that it going to happen.
Unfortunately JuanMoellenkamp, what we have been trying to tell you is not "opinion", we are suggesting things that actually relate to physics and rules of energy. It sounds like you have an opinion, but it's not based on any facts or science. So that is why people are saying what they are, you are actually way off base on your thoughts and will result in making things slower or worse in almost every regard.
