Default Frankenstein F23 to OBD1 Ignition Timing is Way Off

1997 OBD2a accord with an F23A1 swap using the F22 harness and dizzy and turbo running off a P72 with an S300. Just got it on the dyno today, only made 170HP, I had a street tune before on a P28 that made it haul butt, but now it's completely flat lined. I looked at the timing maps on the street tune and it's all in the 34-45° range, so I know the timing is way off.

Now the question is, how do I adjust the timing so it makes sense on the S300, car ran amazing when it was just a swapped motor on the F22 obd2a ECU. But now it wants A LOT of advanced timing to actually have power. I'm thinking the crank sensor is telling the ecu the correct timing, but the ecu isn't setup for the F23. I have another appointment tomorrow to help diagnose and correct the issue, but I can't find any information on an F23 running in an OBD2a car with an OBD1 ECU.

Sounds like incomplete data:

It could be timing or it could be fuel. I am presuming you have a wideband so you can check air:fuel ratio, and I'm presuming you want about 11.5 to 1 for safe settings. What are you seeing? Adjusting the timing without the fuel is not smart (if you are doing that, maybe you just didn't mention it).

Can you post your fuel map and timing map and dyno curve and boost pressure so we can see all four simultaneously?

Personally, I am not ure how you could run 34-45 degrees advanced on this motor with boost, I would actually presume the car is fighting you and actually pulling out timing. Or the fuel is insufficient and it's pulling out the timing, or the boost is wrong.

Post the above info and then it might be possible to deduce what's happening.

Already fixed it, had to make the obd2 distributor "adjustable" got timing to 16* btdc, now the real tuning can be done.
