Crank, Cylinder, and Cam Position sensor codes coming on
Have a 1996 Honda Accord Wagon, 2.2l, Manual swapped.
For the past year I've had an intermittent check engine pop up (p1381, cylinder position sensor intermittent interruption).
Seems to happen on humid and colder days.
So i swapped to a used distributor from a junk yard, code will still pop up on occasion.
Next thing i replaced was the crank position sensors, while doing the timing belts, water pump, and tensioners.
The p1381 would still pop up on occasion but didn't affect the performance of the car, just a little shuddering at startup in the cold.
Was merging onto the highway under acceleration and the car shut off so i coasted to the side.
Went to restart the car and the ignition sounded all over the place and the car didn't seem to want to start.
Pulled the codes and have a p1381, p0336 (crank pos sensor a circuit range/performance), and a p1362 (cam pos sensor a no signal or TDC).
Once getting it started, the car is at a 3000rpm rev limiter, managed to limp it home by shifting earlier.
Any idea what it could be?
I replaced the crank sensors behind the pulley and swapped the distributor.
