Default Toda Spec A2s on mostly stock GSR?

Just curious: has anyone here know how the Toda Spec A2s would do on a mostly stock GSR? All it has are Supertech 75 lb dual valve springs, steel retainers, ARP head studs, OEM head gasket, AEBS intake manifold, 68 mm throttle body, CT Engineering Icebox, and ITR intake arm. Any complications from stock compression ratio, piston/valve clearance, etc? I also read that Toda valve springs "must" be used. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. If that's the case I assume the A2s are basically drop in cams?

Indeed, they are a bit larger than Skunk2 Tuner 1s if I recall, and those can be run on ITR valvetrain. The Supertech springs should be plenty fine, 75lbs is enough for much larger cams.

Thanks again! Really appreciate the inclusion of the different cam specs for comparison. However, the specs listed are for the Toda Spec A, not the A2. JHPUSA lists the A2 specs as:
Intake cam: Duration 295mm / 12.0mm Lift
Exhaust cam: Duration 285mm / 12.0mm Lift

Duration is similar to the Buddy Club Spec III+ (which is what I wanted before I found out they were discontinued long ago) and lift just a bit larger than the Tuner 1. I'm hoping that difference between the A and A2 isn't enough to pose as a problem. Ideally I'd build the engine around the cam but I simply can't just pull the motor out and I'd rather have a drop in solution.

IDK what JHP is talking about, those aren't even close to real cam specs, that would blow up a motor with that duration and lift.

I assure you my specs are correct, and AFIK there's no difference between A and A2 cams.

Thanks for the clarification. Admittedly I don't know that much about camshaft specifications and just assumed that those measurements were done at something other than 1mm of lift but looking at it they still seem too high anyways. If the A and A2 are the same I'll have to get them in the future instead of going turbo. I wanna keep things simple and reliable lol

A2 have 295 duration compared to 280 on the Toda A for the vtec lobe, idle characteristics will be the same for both, very similar to oem. Both can use oem ITR valvetrain without issue

I just checked Toda's website. The A2 cam has the Type B VTEC lobe with the Type A primaries. Kinda a weird cam. I guess it's for people that daily and need that good mileage on the small cam but more more power at crossover.

JHPUSA has fallen off for quite a bit. Those specs are way off.

Attached via PDF file are the actual Spec A Sheets. (The A2 was basically the same thing)

I think that's advertised duration. It does seem the lift is correct though.

According to Toda's website the A2 cam has the Type A small cam and the Type B big cam. That crossover must be wild lol.

I've owned both the A & A2s. The application is different than the theory. The crossover is nice, smooth and even. The Tuner 1s were actually more aggressive than the Toda A or Toda A2, but allowed for more power.
