Default Help about Engine block I acquired in storage unit

So I recently won a storage unit at auction and there’s a Honda Engine block in there, i looked up the Casting numbers and it said it’s for a 92-96 prelude 2.3L DOCH. I was just wondering what it’s worth in the condition its in right now. Any help is greatly appreciated.

That is just a cylinder head (So, just the top half of the motor). Probably worth $50 but I'm out of touch with non-vtec prelude motors.

H23A1 cylinder head only.

Not in good shape and the mating surface is probably ruined since it's been on a concrete floor without any protection.

... and it is missing cam caps, so it has absolutely NO value to a Honda engine builder. You could get a few dollars for it if you scrap it.

That's like 40lbs of aluminum. Should be $25-$40 at least, no?

Right now, clean aluminum might bring 35 cents per pound... but mixed metal only brings about 8 cents per pound. So if the OP removes all studs, bolts, valves, springs, retainers, passage plugs, dowels... and drills/hammers out all 16 valve guides... you might get close to $20. Otherwise, it will likely get you less than $5.
