Default 1998 civic si coupe manual trans no reverse lights

I've tested a bunch of things I've seen on here, bulbs are good, fuse is good, connectors for the bulbs are good, I jumped the sensor/switch with a paper clip, still no reverse lights and I'm kind of stumped, since the paper clip didnt work and fuse is good either a wire is broken or theres no power to the sensor right?

Not super new, I've had it for about a year I just got my liscence though and noticed there were no reverse lights, I tested the voltage and the wire is getting 1.7 volts instead of 12.6 I think it was supposed to

Where did you test for power, at the connector to the back-up switch?

Yep, I unplugged the connector and tested both just to make sure I had the right one, one was 1.7 ish and the other was .3 but I think that's just 0, the voltmeter is a little finicky with super low values

Then measure power at Connector C124, yellow wire with ignition switch in ON position (car not running).

If still very low voltage measurement, then measure voltage at Connector C131, yel/red wire at terminal no. 15, with ignition in ON position.

Then there is an issue with power coming from the under-dash fuse box. Fuse no. 19 is the fuse, which feeds power through connector C419 at the fuse box. One end of the harness wire starts at connector C419 and goes to connector C131.

After measuring voltage, both sides of the fuse have .5 volts

1. Although there probably is still an issue with power at the fuse box, are you checking with the ignition switch in the ON position? That doesn't make sense that is was 1.85 volts downstream and only .5 volts at the fuse box.

2. Anyways, if there is an issue of no power coming from that fuse, you can always re-route the wire to a fuse slot that receives power when the ignition switch is in the ON or START positions. Using something like a Littelfuse Add-A-Circuit holder would work.

Yea that kind of confused me too, what would happen if I tried to put a wire from the battery to the wire by the ecu? Would that let me know if the fuse block is alright or would that be ahead of it
And yes I am checking with the ignition in on with the car in reverse

I feel very stupid, I had the voltmeter set to 2v instead of 20v, retested everything all has 10 volts, jumping at the sensor doesnt work though
is there another connector I could check other than the fuse box and ecu onea?

Then measure the voltage at the bulb connectors with the ignition ON and in reverse or reverse switch connector jumped.

Then the other 2 remaining connectors are C401, terminal no. 12 Grn/Blk wire and Connector C562 terminal no. 4 Grn/Blk wire.
