Lightweight 18" rims
I am looking for some lightweight rims for my summer tires. I have a 2012 Civic Si Coupe and would like to get some 18x8, 5x114.3, 64.1 rims under 18 lb the lower the better. This is part of a project build. Not an over the top racer but a turbo'd sleeper. I recently bought the Civic Si with under 47K miles on it and full time garage kept. I am pretty open on the style but will not use centering rings the bore has to be a direct fit please. Thanks for any help.
Those are pretty pricey but thanks for the info. I have learned 64.1mm is not a common bore for aftermarket rims so I gave up on them being a direct fit. Might also give up on 18 inch if they have to be so heavy. I have my eye on these at just 12 lbs each it is hard to pass up.
There is NO way that wheel is actually that light... the weight is a typo. The width is also a typo... the claim is that the wheel width is 7.5mm which is slightly more than 1/4" !!! Bicycle rims are 5 times that width. What they meant to state in the width line is 7.5 INCHES and not millimeters. Low cost off-brand wheels like you have linked are NOT going to be the lightest products available... QUALITY brand name wheels will typically be lighter because more money is spent on the development and higher grade alloys are used in their construction. As for being a "direct fit" as you stated (which is actually called HUB CENTRIC)... most aftermarket wheels will not be because many cars share the same bolt pattern. Thus, a special adapter, called a hub-centric ring, can be inserted into the generic center bore of the wheel to adapt the wheel directly to your car. Most 5-Lug wheels currently available will have center bores in the 72.60 to 75.00mm range.
The Enkei RPF-1 is one of the lightest wheels available in any size... so you can use this wheel as a guide to compare to other wheels by various manufacturers. If you actually find a lighter wheel in the same size diameter and width... the difference will NOT be pounds, it will be in ounces. Likely, they will be heavier.

You are right I checked the manufacturers website and it is 21 lb. It seemed too good, thanks. What do you think of these? Specs vs price not style. I think these are at least correctly listed.
Motegi is a sub brand of American Racing. I am not sure about product built in China, but the US built stuff is decent quality. I venture to say this is a decent choice.
