Default B16 analog temp guage

What analog temp guages is recommended for honda? I got a analog temp guage for my civic but the port on the side of the head is too small any suggestions? I've tried adapters everything can't seem to make anything work. Is their any guage company that make analog guages for honda.

Most of the aftermarket stuff is 1/8NPT. The Honda sender is 1/8BSPT. It's a difference of 27 threads per inch vs 28 but the diameter of the threads is the same. What sender did you buy?

I bought a Bosch from my local autopart store but it was way bigger than expected

Yeah that’s pretty giant. I’ve seen someone drill out the boss on the upper water neck where the bleeder was on older models and mount the glowshift one there. Bonus points for keeping the stock sender too. I’ll see if I can dig up a link.

edit: here you go

Fair enough. Generally you get what you pay for, right now you’re paying in headaches to adapt a cheaper gauge and looking at buying a SECOND one since the first one didn’t fit.

The stock gauge is free and has never failed me in 20 years of building these cars.

What are you running for an ecu? S300v3 has Bluetooth and Moates Demon has it as an option. There are free or cheap apps for those and you can just use your phone to read any parameter the ecu reports. There are also cheap Bluetooth options you can use with stock ecus, too. Easy and useful if all you want to do is look at stuff.

I ended up using that gauge, I just bought a inline adapter for my radiator hose and put that in and hid it the best way I could
