So I have a 94 eg hatch with a d16z6 the motor is bone stock and the ecu is stock First off I have to hit the gas when I start it or it will fire and die idles fine by itself once it starts Second and its killing me when vtec engages so at about 4500rpm it hesitates almost like its hitting a cut then it will stop and continue to climb in rpm. It is not throwing a cel light. Doesn't have this problem when oil pressure sensor on vtec solenoid is unplugged but then cel light is on. I've done spark plugs wires cap rotor checked timing ect ect and still this issue any help?

 

clean the screen/gasket on the solenoid. Replace if necessary
