Really rough idle, low power and doesn't rev over 3k
I have a 98 ls Integra with a gsr swap, I started the car leaving work and it sounded a little rough but it usually does at first, however the problem never went away. When I got out on the road it kinda stalled a little and had like 60hp and wouldnt rev over 3000 in any gear it was like a weird soft limiter. I checked the oil and put in a little, not the issue. I changed from my chipped obd1pobd1 ECU to the "stock" obd2 p72, nothing changed. There are no codes being thrown I'm at a loss here any ideas?
The car also does this weird thing when you try to start it where all power will shut off for a split second, not like when you engage it for the first time but midway through the starter running
Yeah the guy I bought it from put the battery in the back and he only put the negative to the chassis in the trunk, do I need to run a negative all the way to the engine bay?
Alright so I got it fixed, turns out either something fell into the timing cover or the crank pos sensor bolt backed out. The CPS was in two pieces and even broke a tooth on the sensor wheel. The timing belt was holding on for dear life and slipped a couple of teeth. Luckily I didn't hit a valve and she's back up and running.
