Hi all, I'm new to the forum and wondering if anyone could help me out.
I have a 95 accord cd5 vtis . the climate control doesn't work. I'm aware of the common fault these have with burning out components on the circuit board. my problem is I can't find a replacement unit anywhere. I also have a 94 vti that has normal heating/AC. Does anyone have any information about swapping the unit from the vti into the vtis.
Any help is much appreciated I have pulled my unit out and have found a burnt out component on the circuitboard. Is there anyway to fix this?

The 94 vti with the manual HVAC controls are mechanically or cable actuated I think, right? A sure fire solution would be to swap the 94 vti manual system in place of the 95 vtis electronic system. The problem there is, (if the 94 vti system is cable operated) that the entire 94 vti HVAC box/system would need to be swapped out as well as it's various mode doors, temperature valves, recirc door etc. are all mechanically operated and the 95 vtis HVAC system relies on electronic solenoids to operate each function. This would involve removing the glove box, possibly part of the dash, its pretty envolved. I would try and source a replacement electronic control unit. Junkyard? eBay? As "99stockcivic" showed the link for, there are quite a few control units for sale on eBay ranging from $50 to $130. That would fix your problem.
Thanks guys.
I pulled some of the dash apart this morning and realized its a big job to swap everything over from the 94 vti to the 95 vtis.
That unit in the link iis the same as the one in my 94 vti.
My 95 vtis has the LCD display and I can't find one anywhere THis is the unit from my vti-s. Any idea if the circuit board can be fixed. I live in Tas. finding a vtis in a wrecking yard is like finding a needle in a haystack
Thanks for the effort mate. Unfortunately I can't access that link. Is there another way I can get to it. Keeps saying access denide. I'll put up a screen shot of what I get when I try to open the link.
Thanks to the lads that have tried to help. Unfortunately I'm still no closer to fixing the problem.
