Default How do I select main bearings h22a4?

I am very new to building engines so excuse my ignorance. Currently rebuilding an h22a4 out of a 2000 basemodel lude. Bought this rebuild kit https://www.ebay.ca/itm/DNJ-EK224-En...72.m2749.l2649
Everything is apart right now, crank is out. reading the shop manual it says the main bearings are color coded so I know which ones go where but I don't see any colors on my new ones or the ones that came out of the engine. Is there any other ways to tell how to select your main bearings?

OE honda bearings are color coded. typically, after market bearings like the ones in your kit are not color coded.

for a stock or near-stock rebuild like this, use plasti-gauge to check clearances according to their instructions. If they aren't in spec you may need to order a few OE bearings to get it right.

Yep. Honda bearings are color coded by thickness, so if you have out of spec journals you'll need to get different colors. That's why most people recommend OEM over aftermarket, third party bearings are all one size.

This is literally stickied one post up.

In my helms manual for the Integra it says the crank will have markings for which color to use. It then has a chart to match the code. Not sure about h22. I think the bearings don't have marks on them. You can only tell by the bag in came in or to use plastigauge and measure. The manual literally says to use plastiguage to find the right size lol
