Default 1994 Honda Accord dies while driving

Might be a little reading involved but here's the story.

Overheated my f22b1 and melted my spark plug boots, replaced wires and car started up fine. Change out the temperature sender and rewired it to original wire. Test drive for 45 mins and gauge was spiked but nothing was over 175°. Refilled radiator with less than 1/8 cup of water and drove 25 mins. Car suddenly shut off and wouldn't fire again. I removed the radiator cap, poured about 1/8 cup of water in, maybe less, and fired up the car without the cap on. No problems on startup but as soon as I went to put the cap on it died without any sputter or warning. Repeated the cap off startup and did the same when I put the cap back on.

About an hour later I started the cap without the cap again and after putting the cap on the engine stayed running.

Anyone ever hear about this problem or know what it could be??

Verify there is no air in your system. Open the 12mm bleeder on the thermostat housing, should only be coolant not bubbles.
If it cuts out again when hot, pull the plugs, check for damage, beg/borrow/steal a compression gauge and verify engine compression.

Turns out the o-ring on my distributor melted when I overheated it... replaced and it and it ran out of coolant yet again within 20 minutes of driving it. Working on pulling the head to replace the head gasket, water pump, timing belts and gears, oil pan and do a coolant flush to clean some gunk out of my radiator. Thank you for the advice though if pictures are needed for a better assessment of my situation let me know and I'll post some
