Need help :(
Hello all! I recently purchased a 1996 Honda Civic hatchback and it’s honestly my dream car so I’m disappointed to find out it has issues. Probably lots of them, excuse me because I’m not a car guy but I’m going to describe them to the best of my ability.
When I start it, it starts fine, but it idles at 100rpms and most recently it is stalling out after being started. The people who owned this car before me took out the AC system and did a bunch of “weight reduction” related things. The vehicle has not had an air intake system whatsoever for god knows how long, the throttle body is just exposed.
I went ahead and cleaned the throttle plate to the best of my ability, there wasn’t too much carbon build up but there was some. In doing so It started to idle a little bit higher but before I knew it it was idling back at 100rpms and like I said it’s stalling now.
If anyone could offer any insight as to what the problem could be it’d be a godsend (I understand it could be a multitude of things but I’m willing to do them all to fix this car) Thank you all.

all you will need is a paper clip or scrap of wire and the key. it would also be a good idea to write down the number(s) to help remember, especially if there is more than one.
I can’t unfortunately, like I stated originally the car is starting to idle so rough it comes close to stalling and it isn’t sounding right, I got startled when it started happening so I stopped the car.

Crank engine for 30 seconds if engine won't start.
If engine starts, let it rough idle for 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
Then check ECU for stored codes.
I did this, code P0141, I want to add it’s now idling under 100rpms and the car is shaking and vibrating aggressively, what I hear is sort of a hissing/sucking in air sound and I don’t know if that could be a vacuum leak, or what else it could be. I also added there currently is not an air intake on it so the throttle body is completely exposed, I always thought the sound was it sucking in air.

1) Check whether dash 7.5A fuse 15 is blown.
2) Remove IACV and clean it thoroughly with brake or carburetor cleaner.
3) If idle problem persists, adjust idle speed as per service manual instructions.
P0141 is the OBD-II generic code indicating the Engine Control Module (ECM) has tested the O2 sensor heater circuit and detects a problem with the bank 1 sensor 2 oxygen sensor heater circuit.
Check the header for any exhaust leaks or cracks! or if it came loose at the collector under the car where it bolts to the exhaust and check the O2 sensors, it sounds like bank 2 is no good.
Check/ test and replace your evaporative emission control system pressure sensor if codes P0450 and P04503 return.
