93 Del Sol 3rd EVER In Usa F2d project and the story future plans
Before u start reading this us the story of how I got the 3rd del sol in the usa and swapped it with an f2d why i think its special and future plans my little yt channel and yeah.
I doubt many people will ever get to see this thread but it's cool to have it out here

these are the parts I'm using on the ongoing swap
f22a6 bottom end
f22b2 head and intake mani
ebay headers
d16z6 si transmission
Original shift Linkage w new bushings and short shifter
stock passenger axle
the ONLY welding I need done is the driver side axle to extend it an inch I'm doing that later today June 27th 2020
d16z6 dizzy
bisimoto F2d/H2d Adapter plate
Custom Evolution flywheel using d series clutch
all stock mounts modified them to work del sol mounts with new holes and 3 1 inch spacers on the t bracket the whole swap essentially sits 1 inch closer to passenger side from where the trans would originally sit the engine leans forward in comparison how to it would have sat in the accord I'm going to see if I can post pics here But
doing so in moving it an inch over I still had to cut the power steering lobe of the crankshaft pully (90 93 accord non ac crank pully) so it's just the alternator lobe on that and I had to hit the inside of the frame rail where it goes a good half inch -to 3/4 inch
so far it runs
As soon as I cut extend weld the axle tmro I will hopefully be on the first drive so ******* excited
this car means everything to me

I bought it for $400 originally in Oregon city In Oregon had no idea it was the 3rd one I sold my last stupid clean 93 si a year prior to owning this almost to the day haha I've had this del sol 2 years now the 1 fuse was out under dash and lady thought it was wiring problem but it made the cluster not light up or work at all no window power or radio
it did run
$400 clean title had good tags butterfly seats and sticker on the rear window LOL
got it home took off seat covers put the fuse in like 10 minutes drove it round the block got home parked it and used it as the daily for 3 month got more projects it sat I drove it every now and then and here we are been in the garage for almost a month tmro and I've mounted a f2d swap in it 😅
wanted to do something diffrent I'm still less then $1000 in the ENTIRE CAR belive it or not that's the truth I always look for the deals / trades this car has full suspension lca coilsovers front and back camber kits (not cheap ones) i just make the most out of what I have one awsome thing I can say is I got this long block for $50.00 and actually used this del sol to haul it in the trunk all way from the coast back to woodburn and that's when it had the z6 in it still hahaah
well see tmro tho haha welding may take some money to do whoever I bring it to to weld I know the way I need it welded for Maximum strength possible cutting extending and welding a CV axle is kinda frowned upon I know but doing it right can have GREAT Results anyways I'll post up tmro if I DRIVE IT anyway wanted to swap an accord motor for years in a civic ended up doing it in the sol and When f2d with that bisimoto plate it open my world and appealed to since I could keep the linkage trans and well st the point all the modified stock mounts and I theorized that a 90 93 accord manual EX ecu would plug right into the obd1 93 del sol si without cutting that part of the harness and I was right currently has a solid check engine light but runs I know there no egr plug in idk what to do to wire currently but sure 2 or 3 pins are not even there ect.... anyway it uses the og del sol dizzy the z6 dizzy fit right on after wallering out the 12mm bolt hole on the dizzy it bolted up just fine fit great no leaks
wanted to do f22 cuz instantly has torque in comparison to a d16 and I've had lots of b20 b18 cars and wanted to go bigger and faster with more power and I know with any type of mods bigger displacement engine such as so the f22 with a cam and tune for the cam will make more power than a d16 with a cam to use the ability of the cam and tune to use the ability of the cam that's my example think about k20 pistons in this f22 make my own ITBs getting the cam I have regrinded hand porting the head all on my own and getting a hondata and dyno tune down the road I would still be in the sub 2500 car range!! With one HELL of a special car special swap and lots of fun and future possibilitys oh so many possibilities I know all motor f series will squeeze my pennies but if I do it the cheaper way I can till I can afford sleeving and building for turbo down the road to make obviously easily more power with less money put into it eventually I do want it to be FAST FAST but a accord engine on a del sol base plant trans includes I will see what it is a magical Mix of parts or a Car that feels like dog **** (I know I'll be happy either way) or something I can Forsee an amazing car with more work into it idk well see the z6 trans with not as long as a dx accord trans gearing 700-1200lbs lighter than an accord might surprise me!! Stay tuned to my yt I post there make decent content and explain better so u dont have to read 10 paragraphs thanks for reading!! Sorry if I didn't make semce I'm tired and want to be able to see what I was doing when I was younger / in the past haha plus tells my story I feel I will be around the Car racing scene for a Very Very long time possibly open up a custom shop or custom parts business idk lol
