Default IACV block off plate question

So I ended up using a block off plate instead of switching to a 2 wire iacv and the car won't idle at all ended up using the throttle cable to idle but I'd honestly just like to fix it the right way should I just convert it to a 2 wire? And take the block off plate off? Anyone else have this issue?
