Hey guys I have a 2000 civic DX 5 speed and today I found this blue clip on my carpet this morning, I looked under the steering wheel and cant figure out where it broke from, I don't have any issues driving so I'm not sure of its function. Thanks,
there is one on the brake pedal and I believe 2 on the clutch pedal, but I might have that backwards
car either wont start, brake lights wont turn off, or cruise control wont work
by chance is it like a blueish black rubber, if so that is original, the replacements are like white hard plastic
Yes its a blueish black rubber exactly! I don't have cruise control and car starts fine, ill have to inspect my tail light to see if its from the brake pedal then
Well I think its the clutch pedal cause the one on the brake pedal is present. So why does the car still start then I find that odd! this car has a kill switch but I bypassed it cause the little button broke that was hidden by the previous owner, so I just looped the wires and can easily install a new switch but could this be why? either way not a big deal I think as the car still starts.. Could this cause a issue down the line besides the leaking master I just realized with this picture haha
Thanks for the link the good thing is mine is the lower clip. I still don't understand its function, I think the upper clip engages the sensor to start the engine if I'm not mistaken but what's the lower one for then?

The lower stopper is for cruise control. Honda installs the CC stopper on the clutch pedal even when CC is not installed.
